Gearchange with Detent

#1 Post by Malc » Sat May 29, 2004 8:57 pm

Took my Sprint out on Monday, Clutch didn't feel right, Hydraulic Cylinder empty, no leak from master, aha, slave <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :x --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/sick.gif ALT=":x"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> . Took parcel self & tunnel out, the time consuming way. Removing gearlever with care so as not to loose the 'Detent & Spring', aha, none fitted, nor was there the bolt at the rear of the gearlever clamp ring thing. Now back together with missing bolt and a Detent with spring, the transformation is quite remarkable. The gearlever if much taughter and smoother in operation, also no transmission noise up the stick. Glad I took the long route <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :D --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END-->
