Just been to Phil's funeral - he passed away a week or so ago. As a tribute to him, we had 4 Dolomites behind the procession. He would have loved that.

Phil was a dedicated TDC West Midlands Area, and one of life's genuine good blokes. He always had a funny story to tell, and he could always lift your spirits up, even towards the end, when he was very poorly.

Didnt realise that he was an AA patrolman for a large part of his working life, as well as a Triumph dealer mechanic. I guess that is why he had the skills to rebuild his 1500SE so well.

A great loss to the club, and a good friend.

Sorry to dampen your day guys (and girls), but thought that he certainly deserved a mention.

Phil's car won the concours at Cosford last September,it was a superb 1500SE which was a credit to its owner.Phil was a wonderful bloke who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
The club has lost a good friend and I'm sure everyone's thoughts will be with Phil's family at this sad time.
I just like to add that I agree with all of the above sentiments and offer my sincerest condolences to his family. I'll always remember how much I laughed at his car-related anecdotes.
