Right, I have given this a great deal of thought and think that the following is in rough chronological order:<br>

VW Beetle - later rec'd Porsche 914 lump.<br>
VW Polo 1000C - good to drive, strangely uneconomical<br>
Triumph TR7 Convertible - loved it, now in Hong Kong<br>
Hillman Imp - became full race engined, fabulous<br>
Vauxhall Chevette - great handling, crap lump<br>
VW Golf GTI Mk1 Campaign - An icon -nuff said<br>
Renault 5 Turbo - utterly overrated unreliable cack<br>
Metro 1000 - slow fun<br>
Sierra 1600 - looking back, a good car<br>
Sierra 1800 - as above but more poke<br>
Mini van 1000 - double bed in the back.....<br>
Lotus Esprit S1 - superb bird pulling power at age 21<br>
MG Midget - horrid in every way<br>
Auntie Rover P4 110 - wonderful in every way<br>
Montego 2000 - quicky and comfy<br>
E Type 4.2 Series 2 - another icon, believe everything <br>
Spitfire 1500 - cheap summer fun<br>
Austin A40 Farina - superb classic rally tool, highly modified<br>
Golf GTI Mk 2 - good car, not a patch on the Mk 1<br>
Fiesta 1300 - a period I would rather forget<br>
Mondeo 2000 - quick, flimsy, forgettable<br>
Morris 1300GT - Cooper S undercover<br>
Audi A4 1.8T - really, really nice car<br>
Escort Mk4 1300 - tidy family hatch, sold for profit<br>
Wolseley 1500 - tidy handling, swift old saloon<br>
Ford Galaxy 2300 - fast family holdall<br>
Volvo S70 2000 - heaviest clutch ever<br>
Merc C200 Est - brilliant bulletproof family estate<br>
Merc E 320CDi - superfast diesel motorway cruncher<br>
Audi A6 1800T - strangely underwhelming<br>
Saab Aero 2.3 Convertible - owned 90 days, spent 36 in dock<br>
Rover P6 2000TC - really ahead of its time<br>
Rover P6 2000SC auto - slug after the TC<br>
Triumph 1300FWD - still got, love to bits<br>
BMW 330d - fast, frugal, fantastic<br>
Fiat Punto 1100 - brilliant laugh<br>
Renault Scenic 1.6 - the ultimate family car - still got it<br>
Ferrari 365 Daytona - only a half share, I still play with myself<br>
Merc CLK 240 - lovely to look at and drive<br>
MGB GT - the most overrated classic ever - utter, utter crap<br>
Volvo 740 Turbo Est - really practical and fast<br>
Jag XJ8 - lovely big luxobarge, even did 24mpg!<br>
Citroen AX 1100 - flimsy as tin foil<br>
Renault Sport Spyder - better than a Seven overall<br>
Merc C240 - e bay ringer which blew up<br>
Jag S Type 3.0 - really nice but 17mpg...<br>
Peugeot 205 1.6 auto - really nice drive, and fun<br>
Merc C250 TD - lovely long legged luxury diesel<br>
Mini Cooper 1.6 auto - most uncomfortable car ever driven<br>
Saab 9000 2.0 - eBay £600 bargain. Made a profit<br>
Fiat Punto 1200 - great fun and very cheap to run<br>
Dolomite 1300 - nice one, now with Jod<br>
BMW 320d est - excellent all rounder<br>
