SO here it is....and no laughing please <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">

1985 Vauxhall Nova 1.2 in red [B368WUA]-- Bought already Barried up with half GTE body kit and a sports exhaust which gave me a headache, so it got a stock one when that rotted through.

1987 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 in white [E617HTR]-- I was doing so many motorway miles travelling from Reading back to Yorkshire every weekend this was a godsend. Boring though.

1992 Peugot 205 1.4i GTX in Metallic Grey[K167TRT]-- The GTi's smaller brother. handled like a roller skate, good fun without the nig insurance. I would own a 205 GTi tomorrow.

1985 Austin Montego Mayfair 2.0 in metallic red[Bgodknows]-- Now married and sent on a 9 months residential course i needed a cheap car. Had 12 months tax and ticket, and fifteen years rust. Bought for the princely sum of £195 and sold for £200 9 months later with considerably more miles and less MOT. The owner phoned me two weeks after i had sold it, broken down on the M25. He asked me if the engine usually smoked. He had an underbonnet fire just starting to happen<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> . Used lots of petrol, but used even more oil. It did see the naughty side of the ton on the A12 though.

1995 Renault 19 1.4 in red[N402OCU]-- Given (yes free) to me by my father in law when he bought a new car. Valued at about £2000 at the time, the trade in only offered him £250 for it. So he told the salesman to screw it. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">
Sold the Pug to make way for this as the family was getting bigger. Still owned, but now its really the wifes car. Lots of irritating minor electrical faults (french hehe)

1982 Triumph Dolomite Sprint in carmine Red[RAV154X]-- You already know about this one <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">
My Mess of a collection
Here goes

Part share in Mum's Allegro 1300 (I have lived the dream and done 95 mph in an Allegro!)
1976 Vauxhall Chevette GLS (hmm cordorouy trim)
1979 Cavalier 2000GLS Sportshatch - great car - the huge load bay was very useful when your 18 and horny - havent seen one for years.
1981 Triumph Acclaim Torque Steering special bag of poo. A disgrace and technically the better halfs car I must add!
1984 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8 SRi - nice recaro seats, good engine, appaling chassis - the only car I've ever lost control of!
1979 Dolomite 1500 square lamp rust bucket
Jinxed 1976 Dolomite 1850HL - it never ran for more than a fortnight without breaking down!
another rotten Dolomite 1850HL for spares
1974 Dolomite Sprint (still got it!) - Has to be my favourite of course.
1986 Vauxhall Nova 1.2 merit saloon (cheap transport, crap car, but it refused to break!)
1988 Citroen BX 1.7TurboD Estate - amazing load lugger, lovely to drive, went like stink as its made out of a lot of plastic - nightmare hydraulics cost me a fortune.
1990 Peugeot 405 1.9GL - 406's were never as good, handled like a 205 Gti. Built by 3 year old chimps.
1990 Peugeot 405 1.9SRi - like the GL but a bit faster, nicer interior, stiffer springs and the PO fitted a Diesel gearbox - 75mph in 2nd gear!!!!
1992 Renault 19 16valve - a bit chav but well bolted together for a french car and it wasnt all show and no go - not fast in a straight line but my Sprint could never hit 120mph at coombe like this could. These could be classic soon - another rare car these days!
1998 Peugeot 306 GTi-6 - easily the best all round car I've owned and the only fwd car i managed to control oversteer on! 140mph fully laden back from glasgow in air conditioned comfort and still doing 30mpg. If it wasnt for the small boot and lack of doors I'd still have one. Cost Peanuts to run too.
1976 Sprint - owned for a month to buy, keep the box of spares that came with it and flog it on - now living in Ireland I Believe.
2004 Smart Roadster - the silliest way to spend a company car allowance and still be cheap to run - much faster in real life than 0-60 in 11 secs suggests. Daimler Chrystlers biggest missed oppotunity - why only a semi auto box? And why do I have to pay the same labour rates as a Maclaren SLR owner?
1997 Audi A4 2.6SE - 140mph sofa - not sure we can live with such sensibleness for long - might have to swap it for a 2.8 quattro!!

I thinks thats about it.

<a href="http://www.smifter1971.pwp.blueyonder.c ... >Smifter's Dolomite Sprint Website

Featherweight 1974 Dolomite Sprint - Soon to be XE'd, NOS'd, Megasquirted and 5 linked Lash up to scare myself (and my wallet) senseless

2004 Smart Roadster (company car!!) - 698cc of turbo'd adrenaline fuelled rollerskate - soon to be destined to classic car status thanks to Daimler Chrysler bean counters.

1997 Audi A4 2.6 to chill out after the above and fill with baby products.....

1997 Audi A4 2.6SE - 140mph sofa - not sure we can live with such sensibleness for long - might have to swap it for a 2.8 quattro!!

I thinks thats about it.

Re: What Cars have you owned???
1984- Mg Maestro 1.6... Faster than all my mates first cars.

1984- Volvo 360 GLT, Reasonable performance and RWD had the gearbox at the back so handled better than you would think, this car taught me to drive.

1986- SD1 2600 Vanden Plas, liked the car, not quick enough.

1986- SD1 Vittesse, been in a front ender, re-built it at work and dropped in a 3.9, scared my self silly and couldn`t afford the petrol or insurance, credit cards allowed me to keep it for 6 months though, the only car I wish I had never sold, also taught me to drive some more.

1963- Austin A40 Farina, rescued from a field, metro turbo engine, standard wheels, standard drum brakes. Very scary car.

1989- Rover 216S, horrible car, same shape as a Honda Ballade, more rusty than any Dolly I have owned and it was only a G reg car. Sold it to my sister.

1998- Citroen Saxo VTR, bought this new when they were still a car with some cred and not the chav charriott of choice.

1994- Peugeot 306 1.6, not bad car. I put a big stereo in this one and put a set of GTi6 wheels and side skirts on then promptly sold it.

1988- Peugeot 205 1.1, just a stop gap.

1999- Renault Clio 1.2, My girlfriend had just passed her driving test and I was working at a Renault dealer, she liked the car and it was cheap. Boring.

1994- VW Golf GTi. Ok it`s a mk3 but I love it. I just started driving it again after a year, it`s caused many much grief, gearbox has eaten itself twice, both times spitting the diff out and on of those times was when I was picking up Dolly bits from Wins.

1998- Fiat Bravo 1.9 TD100, liked this car for a while, good to look at but then I just got hacked off with being overtaken by everything. Rubbish. Now for sale.

1989- Mini, started life as a 1000cc then a mate and I done it up as a grass track car, done a couple of meets and decided it wasn`t for us as it was almost destoyed by people driving in to it, rebuilt again and 1340 cc engine thrown in, used now as a track car, although we haven`t done many in it.

1976- Toledo, bought for £50. I ran it for a year as my get to work car. I did no work on it and then decided to take it off the road for a restoration as it was registerd in aprl 76 it was on of the last Toledos, stripped it and started cutting paneld off but the rot was just incredible.

1976- Dolly 1300, got it for nothing, put an MOT on it and sold it for £30 on e-bay to a girl as her first car.

1976- 1850 HL auto, still got it, lovely car.

1979- 1850 HL Soon to be TR7 powered
Cars and bikes
Cars:
1981 Spitfire 1500, SNA972X. My first car bought as a clueless 16 year old, spent the next 3 years getting it right. Great fun car.

1983 Landrover Series 3 SWB 2 1/4 petrol, A966SGF. Monumentally slow and 15 MPG on a good day. Fun off road though, thoroughly awful on it.

1977 Dolomite Sprint, WHG883R. My first introduction to all things Dolomite. The fastest car I've ever driven, sold recently due to killer insurance.

1979 Dolomite 1300, DVN68V. Present car, in the garage at the moment getting its front end rejuvinated. A big step down in performance from the Sprint, nice car all the same though.

Bikes:

1984 Honda Caren. Fun little 50cc moped I wish I hadn't sold. Looked absurd with 5'11'' man riding it.

1967 BSA Bantam D10, NVK979F. Bought as basket case and restored to useable condition. Stirred memories in all who saw it, " Oh, I used to have one of those...". Fun bike.

1967 BSA Bantam D14/4, HXG508F. Put me off small Brit 'strokers when the gearbox went pop at 50 Mph on the city motorway in Newcastle.

Suzuki SV 650 S. My dream bike, this is what I am aspiring to!!!!

Alex.
