Calcium carbonate isnt a very good thermal conductor and most southern dollies whose owners fill them with tap water arent helping the cooling much. Mind you it does stop heads corroding a bit. So go on holiday in the summer up north or Wales and give yourself a good flush. Do it three or four times...that'll annoy the missus...then bring it back adding antifreeze to taste on the last fill. I never go more than 25 per cent cos it never freezes more than 5 degress in London. and thats safe to -10. Most of the dolly coolant stays in the block and heater BTW. Only about a quarter of it is ever in the rad.<br>
