Calcium carbonate isnt a very good thermal conductor and most southern dollies whose owners fill them with tap water arent helping the cooling much. Mind you it does stop heads corroding a bit. So go on holiday in the summer up north or Wales and give yourself a good flush. Do it three or four times...that'll annoy the missus...then bring it back adding antifreeze to taste on the last fill. I never go more than 25 per cent cos it never freezes more than 5 degress in London. and thats safe to -10. Most of the dolly coolant stays in the block and heater BTW. Only about a quarter of it is ever in the rad.<br>

Thoroughly recommend this. I have used in in the racecar for almost 2 seasons.<br>
1. it does help the engine run slightly cooler during racing in hot weather (105 vs 110C), presumeably by improving heat transfer.<br>
2. the inhibitors appear to work well as there is no sign of any corrosion<br>
3. allows 100% water to be used without having to rely on antifreeze mix to supply the corrosion inhibitors.<br>

I don't use it my road Sprint as there seems no need. It runs at normal temp even when weather is hot. If you have an overheating problem due to being stuck in traffic, then best to fit a fan rather than rely on this stuff.<br>
