FWIW I would try and get the engine running in situ first.<br>
Drain the oil and water....take off rocker cover and look for obvious crud. If its bad then a strip down is a good idea so you may as well try and get the head off. If inside the rockers looks okay then change oil and filter, clean out fuel pump bowl, plumb in a radiator, connect up a gallon can of fresh optimax and go for it.<br>
Actually take the plugs out first and give it a good spin on the starter to circulate new oil and listen for any nasty noises. Then clean plugs in, ignition on and fire away. Then you can decide to change the whole lump if you want to a known quantity.<br>
