Greetings All

My boss has asked me to find out how he can go about getting a racing licence for when his 1930s Singer racer is finished.

I thought this would be a good place to start asking.

Thanks for your helps <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">
The Motor Sports Association is the place to start. www.msauk.org/

They will be able to point your boss in the right direction and provide the relevant info but basically licences are based on the event he intends to participate in. Events are given an event license by the MSA and this dictates the level of the competition license required.

The basic licence formats are:-

Clubman - for road rally, autotest and trials
National 'B' - either race Nat 'B' (for National 'B' level racing), non race Nat 'B' (for sprints/hillclimbs/drag racing nat B level), or Stage Rally National 'B' for - yep - stage rallying
National 'A' - as National 'B' but for National 'A' level events
International - As the name suggests - for the big boys doing international level events.

Licence costs vary from £15 to £670 a year.

For most low key racing a race National 'B' licence is the one to have. Cost £42.

Mines a Non Race National B at £31.
