Electronic ignition

#1 Post by lestwigg » Fri Jan 23, 2004 9:18 pm

What Electronic Ignition systems are people using in their Sprints?
Im not thinking of anything mappable or requiring crank sensors, just a replacement for the points.
Hi Les

You might want to post this again on the main forum rather than the motorsport forum.

My car runs a Newtronic system purely as an optical trigger with a Sprintparts high energy ignition switching unit doing the spark and a programmable igntion controller doing the ignition advance instead of the mechanical advance on the dizzy.

Most people either use the straight Newtronic or Lumenition systems though.
