shortening the stroke

hey how would you go about shorterning the stroke of the piston (travel)<br>

You'd need a crankshaft with a shorter offset between main bearings and big end bearings. You'd also need taller pistons so that the crown reaches the original point in the bore in order to maintain a usable compression ratio.<br>

Ha! 1st question Why?.<br>

Forged crankshaft with shorter stroke with con rod's to suit,<br>

And then forged piston's if your going to all that expensive.<br>
