October Retro Cars
I see Lewis has got his name in lights, as it were, in this months mag. Good to see the youngsters in old bangers. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Re: !
Maybe we should start the Triumph Stagomite Club. Seem to be a few dolly owners with Stags! Looks quite solid if a little dusty. Mines awaiting a head gasket repair (Aren't they all).
Yep....
I'd be up for that....
More synergy between Dollies and Stags than a lot of other cars I reckon...
Re: Stagomites
The trouble is some of us get the disease and there is no antidote. I have had my Stag (also Java with Black) since 1979 and my race Sprint since 1980!!
Well..
Tis a disease I don't mind having <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Is your Stag also a manual? Java's certainly an "interesting" colour <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

Well there we go. The Stagomite Club now has 4 members!

Mines a 1974 early Series 2 on original Rostyle Trims, Auto, Original engine in the rather nice Mallard.
The question is, can we let Phil into the Club??!
Re: Well..
I reckon anyone that's brave enought (Or Stupid Enought) to fit the a Stag engine in anything else other than the Stag it was entended for must be entitled to be automactically entered in any Dolomite or Stag club.
Even that lunatic Ayslum Club.
Re: Well..
Lewis,
My Stag is a Nov 76 build Manual completely standard except for Luminition electronic ignition- I couldn't afford to keep replacing the distributor plates every 20000km at A$150/set in the early 80s!! It has Aircon, a larger core radiator and supplementary electric fan.

Total distance covered is 140000km, I bought it with just 34000km and blown head gaskets (unknown at the time of purchase!!). I have to say that in its early days it was my every day driver and was regularly used for 1000km round trip skiing weekends, towed caravans and race cars as was generally very reliable. Over recent year it has become a very occasional use car but my 18 year old son probably drives it more often than I do these days!!
