Traffic lights

Dont know if anyone else has heard of this but someone told me that if you flash your lights at the traffic lights at road works (the mobile ones) they turn to green. I tryed it today and it worked instantly!<br>

Is that just a coincidence or is there some truth to it?<br>

Only if there is a light receptor (square box) on top of them.

but dont confuse the light receptor for the motion sensor as so companys use the same shell, some work on timers and some just dont work at all like the ones on a major jct in southampton tuesday, they were all stuck on red for two hours.<br>
