Lockups

#1 Post by davepoth » Tue Jan 10, 2006 1:37 pm

I'm in the middle of trying to find somewhere to take my car to pieces so I can have the shell stripped and repainted, but it's proving difficult. Obviously I'm after all of the nice things (power, toilet, locking door etc) but £200 a month is about the cheapest I can find, exclusive of bills. Is this about right? and if so, would anybody like to share a space in the Bath area?

if you can fit a few cars in and it has power you've got a bargain compared to the prices in southampton<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/mad.gif ALT=">:">
It's a 500sqft industrial unit, I reckon at a push 2 cars to store, but only one to work on.

I thought 500sq ft sounded big until i worked out my garage is about 400! I've only ever had one car in mine although if I was a bit tidier and didn't have bikes I guess I could have one stored and one being worked on. A car in bits takes up a lot of space don't forget.
Well, the plan is to store my mate's MGBGT at the back, probably on dollies so it can pushed around easily, and then gut my shell so it can be sent for stripping and repainting. I'll get all the other bits off for powdercoating and so on, and then try and put it all back together again.
