As I've mentioned before I'm planning on a complete DIY fuel injection system for my XE engine.

But I've come across this system advertised in retro cars which I'm making a note of in case i cock it all up.

Seems a pretty good value option compared to some aftermarket EFI systems.
megasquirt can be bought ready built for half the cost of that ecu.
Its still cheaper than a weber alpha, emerald or mbe system.

Megasquirt is a lot cheaper, but it needs a lot more tweaking to get it running properly.

I'm still planning on using megasquirt but I need to have an escape plan if it all goes horribly wrong!

i think the only reason megasquirt needs more tweaking is because any sensors can be used, rather than buying overpriced sensors specified for weber/emerald/mbe ecu's.
