Men and Motors

#1 Post by MaddMart » Wed Apr 19, 2006 9:50 am

Where's it gone?

Last week it said it was moving to various other channels but I can't find it on Freeview. This is about the only channel I watch(ed) on Freeview. It's got so bad that I've started watching "Fifth Gear".

It's moved from Freeview and will be replaced with "ITV Play", a new quiz show channel. MM is only available on Sky, NTL and Telewest now, much to my disappointment. Saturday nights just won't be the same without The Professionals .
Professionals......

Watched 2 episodes at Alun's house last night on DVD. It was so cool! The clothes, the hair, the dial telephones, the cars!

There was supposed to be a special feature on the cars but it wasn't on any of the discs.

I managed to find this site which shows some of the cars

<a href="http://www.carnfort.u-net.com/Professio ...

No mention of the Jensen Alun!

Sweeney site was also good but no Dolomites!

Although I have to remember that he won't look anything like that now, seeing as he's in his early sixties!

I got the full set of the Professionals DVDs for my birthday recently, so I can sit and drool whenever I want

ITV crap

#5 Post by SprintMWU773V » Wed Apr 19, 2006 3:29 pm

ITV are a commercial organisation who obviously wich to make money from programming. ITV own Men and Motors and I agree that it is one of the only decent channels on Freeview, other than BBC ones and deal or no deal on C4. I looked into the satelite situation which normally I would not be interested in.

You can get Men and Motors on freesat from Sky but you don't get E4 or More 4 which the wife likes, I f we want those we have to spend at least £15 a month though I would get about 200 channels of nothing rather than the 20 or so I currently get free. However I have embraced DVD technology and think i'd be better off spending £15 a month on Professionals DVD's rather than SKY.

Incidentially saw a bit of ITV play earlier and it was rubbish, 60p a call regardless of whether you get through. Clearly preying on those unfortunate people who don't have a life outside of TV.
