E Bay madness - i think!!

#1 Post by Howie » Tue Apr 18, 2006 5:32 pm

Is this another case of more money than sense or am i missing something here. Last time i looked, these were £4.50 or something from C-Rimmer-nal brothers.
Not sure myself but thanks for pointing it out to prospective bidders, and wouldn't it be good if as a result of this he retracts his bid and I am out of pocket.

Maybe a "I bet he's pleased he got that price for this" message after the item has ended may help fellow forum users

If it helps redress the balance, these would cost you over £50 from Rimmers, so can't understand why they are not paying more for them
Luckily all I am trying to do is clear out a few last bits and pieces and not relying on it for my pension
Still any publicity is good publicity as they say
Well as you say. You now have a bid on an item that hadn't been bid on previously!
Lol.

Going to try and get out for Thruxton so will miss Mallory. I have a few issues to get sorted and need a rolling road set-up. Don't want to come last again!

I've got the thicker half-shafts on mine and so far the seals have done their job. When I briefly ran the standard shafts at a track day last year, they were leaking after 5 laps!
I need some springs for my Sprint. 200-250 lbs rears & 400 lbs fronts, and some track tyres.

Could do with a flexible clutch pipe, the one from master to slave cylinder. Oh, and a stainless exhaust. (Both for a sprint).

Alun,

Re. the exhaust. Is it a sports system with single pipe outlet? Reason i ask is that one of the main things that made me drool over sprints when i was a lad was that it had twin pipes at the back, it just looked so cool. For my rebuild i really wanted a standard stainless system but would go for a sports system if it had twin pipes. I'm still interested if it is a single pipe jobby but just need to know where i can get a twin pipe back box. A mate of mine got a triumphtune twin pipe sports system about 15 years ago but i cant seem to find anyone that does them now. Any ideas???
Howard.
