It breaks my heart, but...

#1 Post by morebhp » Fri May 26, 2006 10:02 am

It breaks my heart, but my MG Midget is for sale.

If you're after one, you could do a lot worse than mine. I have spent more than the car is worth on welding, suspension etc etc in the last 3 years.

No reserve. (I must be mad)
Selling the 3.5? Yeah right!

It makes me sad to sell the MG though, lots and lots of time and money have gone into that car.

And the "new" chrome bumper project Midget won't be on the road til summer 2008, so there goes wind in the hair motoring for a while.

Ho hum...

Cheers for the compliment Lewis,

Yep, she's got nowt wrong with her, and should look great after the amount I've spent!

Hey, at least it's got a Triumph engine

I think you will get a good price for it. The listing is very good for a start so I think people will assume that with that much attention to detail, the car will be just as sound.

Sometimes a chapter has to be closed in order to throw yourself fully into the next. Graeme and Lewis have had to do the same recently and it looks like they have both landed on their feet.
Long live baked beans!

Well, I've got 62 watchers and two viewings booked for tomorrow and monday...

I'm hopeful!

The one I was in direct competition with finished this morning for very good money!

Given his comment on Friday night, I think he'd spotted mine - did it as a feature auction, so it appeared right below his....

We'll see how it goes...

Well, £2600 isn't bad I suppose...

The chap picked the car up today, and didn't quibble over price, so I suppose I can't complain!

He did get a bit of a bargain though...
