Yes, I have them every now and again - not saying they are any good mind!
Right here it is: I often watch Dollys for sale on E-bay to see what they fetch and who they go to. To try and increase membership to the TDC and also perhaps the number of spare parts on offer, I wondered what you all thought of the idea of me contacting winning bidders with something like this: -

Quote:
Dear (e-bay ID) As a member of the Triumph Dolomite Club (TDC), I would like to congratulate you on winning this auction. I would also like to take this opportunity to invite you to take a look at the TDC website at http://www.triumphdolomite.co.uk. There you will find lots of information and advice and the chance to air your views with other Dolly owners. We also have 'sales' and wanted' boards for Dolly spare parts and cars. Perhaps you are not new to the world of Dolly ownership? If so, perhaps you can come and share your experiences and advice with us on the forum; we are a really friendly bunch who love our Dollys (yes, some of us have more than 1!) Membership is not required to join our forum but the benefits of membership include discounted parts and panels, a free valuation, discounted classic car insurance and a bi-monthly magazine dedicated to Dolly ownership. If you are interested in becoming a member, details can be found at the aforementioned website. If not, we look forward to welcoming you to the TDC forum. Kind regards etc.etc.

I don't know if the details about the benefits of membership are correct or the website address but you get the idea.

I also thought of e-mailing sellers on the likes of Autotrader to ask them to forward details of the TDC to whoever buys their Dolly.

Now, this was just an idea, I haven't discussed it with anyone so please don't anyone throw their toys out of the pram if you think it is a crap idea - just tell me it's rubbish!

Okay, so what do you think? Any suggestions?
