Hi all, was out and about in the sprint yesterday. and on the way home saw a convertable herald 13/60 for sale, up the road! So i stopped and had a chat with the owner, he's had the car for 30 years (second owner) and says he no longer feels safe driving Its a 'J' reg so is tax exempt, maroon in colour, looks sound to me, needs a clean tho. Mileage is about 86000 but he says he had a relacement engine 6000 miles ago, bodywork is in good condition 'cept for a clean, tax and mot, hardtop, loadsa spares, and he only wants £1500 fer it! Says he would like it to go to a triumph enthusiast, like him. I have no vested interest in the sale, but said i would ask the TDC lot, see if anyone was interested and he gave me his number. So, anyone out there.the ebay number is 170025751178.

Re: rag top herald 13/60 for sale.
I am listing the car on Ebay for the owner - my uncle. As you say he has had the car for 30 years and it has been his daily driver for as long as I can remember. It has received a lot of interest and I suspect it won't last the full 10 days on ebay!
Cheers
Sold
Well, that didn't last long!
As I suspected, someone came and pressed pound notes into his hand so he took them! I must say I think he would have done better to wait a while!. There were over 60 watchers within 24 hours of me listing it. Still there you go, I don't think he ever really got the idea of Ebay in the first place! At least he is happy it has gone to a good home.

You are right Phil, he had a saloon as well for a long time but iirc the chassis was a bit rotten on that so he sold it to concentrate on the rag top. He used to be quite active in one of the clubs (can't remember which) and used to go to the Moxhull Hall meets regularly until quite recently.
