Hello,

I just wanted to change the lower steering column bush, but I had to take the complete column apart to get her of the car because the knuckle joint in the engine bay was impossible to get of the column shaft. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/mad.gif ALT=">:">
Now I read in my manual that there should be a plastic washer inside the car and a metal washer in the engine bay ...
My steering shaft has a thick bend washer welded onto it IN the car and no other washer ?????????
Also the metal plate witch bolts to the bulkhead is bend.
Can anybody tell me if the thick washer is originally welded on the shaft, and if the metal plate is originally bend.

See also my pictures on the Triumphowners site.
Many thanks.
