Bottom Ball Joint Gaitor Replacing?

Hi - I need to replace the gaitor on the bottom ball joint on the L/H side. Now I'm no mechanical wizard but I have all the basic tools, spanners, sockets jack etc. Would someone who has had the privelage before tell me the correct sequence in getting the gaitor off.<br>
