#1 Post by rich » Wed Sep 13, 2006 10:52 pm

been checking over my sprint the last couple of days and had one of thopse rare looks at the spare and guess what, sitting there is the original alloy with an unused original fitment dunlop tyre i do believe.<br>
what would it be worth to the purists out there or are they a common thing

Dunlop SP Sport

After all these years mate I'd chuck it and get a decent spare tyre. Do you really want to have to run on a 25yr old fabric-cored radial if you get a puncture ? Novelty value only I reckon. I think that Vintage tyre supplies or somebody else had a batch of new SP Sports made a while ago for the purists. They were made in New Zealand, I think, using the original tooling. I'm not sure if they were T-rated though which might cause problems if you use them on a Sprint. Amazing that your spare is untouched after all these years though.
