Sprint solid carb mounts

Hi everyone,<br>

Just thought I'd ask for some advice.<br>
<br>
I have a sprint where the carb mounts have split (SU). The club stocks solid mounts and I was woundering if this was the way to go? <br>
Has any one any experience of these mounts, I have also heard tell that these can cause frothing due to vibration. <br>
<br>
Any thoughts would be welcome.<br>

Definitely the way to go, no question. The option is remanufactured mounts which last about a week!<br>

I have had no issues with either cavitation of the fuel or undue heat transfer.

I agree.<br>
Fitted mine a few months ago. Also had alot of interest at the Malvern show! No problems with fuel, even seems to go better, but that could be the other bits I fitted at the same time!

Much better than original, no problems encountered at all.<br>

It was good enough on my Bentley Mk6 to fit SU's directly on the inlet manifold without rubber mounts, if it's good for Bentley it must be good for Triumph

I could write you a huge list's of car's that use SU's carb's that are mounted with no Flexy Mount's and have no trouble at all.<br>

I've been running solid mounts since 2004, no problems. <br>
<br>
Apparently, so legen has it, Fuel Frothing only occured when 'bench running' Dolomite Motors. The problem could never be re-created on the road. <br>
<br>
Perhaps by the time BL found out they already had rubber mounst in production.
