Sticker removal

#1 Post by tdcsuffolk » Sat Feb 21, 2004 5:46 pm

Hello... I'm wanting to remove the bonnet sticker from my Dolly's bonnet (sticker for a TR7) which has obviously been put on with great care by previous previous owner. Any ideas how to remove it without damaging or weakening the paint?

Cheers
Chris

Go and put the Kettle on

Then once you made your choice of refreshment,
Slowly pour Hot Water over Sticker,
Very gently pick with finger nail or sharp knife (Watch yor finger's and the Paint) Sticker from corner etc. and peel said sticker off,
You can also use a Hot Air Gun or Hair Dryer but the hot water is safer to the bodywork/paint.

Hope that made sense?.

Beware

If your car is red or blue (these are the worst colours for paint fading/oxidising) you may well still have a dark register of the sticker once you have removed it!
