I'm soon going to have a go at some panel repairs and am looking at welders & a joggler.

I'm ok with sourcing welder, but havn't used a hand joggler before. Are these adequate to use or do you need pneumatic tool?

I reckon i'll just get some scrap metal and practise!
Joggler
Re: Joggler
Hand action is fine; the weld is likely to distort the metal far more than the joddler will but at least it gives you a chance of getting everything flat...eventually<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ferent.gif ALT=":|">

Joddler
Ah - but if you've already got a compressor, an air driven joddler is a joy, plus they have a hole punch on the reverse for plug welding (although mine punches a hole a bit too small IMO)

I bought mine many years ago, i'm sure they're not that expensive.

If you're welding panels and want a seam weld - stich weld with a MIG and you shouldn't get too much distortion unless it's a flat panel.
