#1 Post by Bjork » Sat Jun 17, 2006 10:59 pm

HI, any chance someone would post pics of the fixing points for securon seat belts in the rear of the Dolomite. I have a new pair but can't see the obvious way they fit. thanks all

..been covered before, several times. Pull out the rear seat back and squab to locate captive nuts. Rip out rear parcel shelf and fix accordingly. Buy the workshop manual - its all in there

All the holes are in place, you just have to clean them out and bolt it all up Just kinda mock the belt positions out, should all fall into place.

The chalk and cheese of responses here; one with exactly what the question asked, the other could not have been less helpful!
It may have been covered many times before, but not if you've never done it.
I wouldn't 'rip out the rear parcel shelf' personally as it needs to be in place before the spools are bolted down - using a sharp awl or small drill bit you can locate the captive nuts from within the boot and then enlarge them from the top as needed. If you do need to remove the shelf it is held in place with the same spring clips that hold the door cards in place and can easily be damaged if removed too enthusiastically...particularly if its beige.

Ah yes! I forgot about punching the little hole in the parcel shelf fabric to stick the bolt through. Very easy to do and neat, too

Just one thing to add: I've done this on a couple of Sprints and had no problems, but on my 1850 there is so much seam sealer inside the car that the outer mounting points are covered and you have to get under the car to find them and poke something through the find where they come out up top.
