Fitted a speedo cable to my o/d box last weekend, only to find that the speedo drive was very worn and, hence, I had no joy with the cable rotating.
Ordered a new angle drive and tried to fit it tonight. Trouble with the new drive is that the csa is, obviously greater than the 'worn' one I took off. As a result I am having difficulty getting it 'fully home' and have been pushing and trying to lever it in to no avail. I'm sure its the correct one for the car and is identical to the one I took off.
In doing the above I have also slightly damaged the threads that screw the drive to the box. Although if I can get it to mate properly I should be able to get over this!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/mad.gif ALT=">:">
Are they easy to dismantle in-case I need to swap the collar from the old drive to the new?
Well Cheesed off!
