I don't know the proper name for this item, but it is the terminal that crimps on to the positive battery cable, about 8 inches from the battery post. It has four spade lugs on it that the thick brown wires attach to, and they go to the alternator, and the fuse box. I can't find it listed in any parts book. My positive cable needs to be replaced, but I don't think I can uncrimp this, and put it on a new cable.

Anyone have any ideas of where I can find one?

Thanks...
Harry

Re: Source for Positive Battery Cable Terminal/Connector
Thanks for the information. I didn't see the item on their web sites, but I have e-mailed both companies, with photos, to see if they can help me.

I have two pictures if anyone can host them for me. I just don't know the proper name for this item.

Thanks again.
Plusbusbar
I know what you mean, and I think on other cars it's called a plus bus bar, or something like that.

I needed one a while ago, although mine was only to hook up the brown wires, didn't use the main battery pos at all. I simply found some sheet steel of the right thickness and cut it to shape, then insulated it, job done <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

Re: Source for Positive Battery Cable Terminal/Connector
Just received an answer back from ASutoSparks...they are unable to help. We'll see what Vehicle Wiring Products says.
Can anyone host my two photos?

I'm sure oothers have had this same problem when it became time to replace the positive battery cable.

Thanks...we'll get to the bottom of this.
