I've tried to link it but failed, but if you've got "realplayer" (a free download) have a look at this
http://tv-ark.org.uk, then look under adverts and select h-l

That's a cool advert. There are some other non-dolomite ads recently posted on austin-rover.co.uk, including a particularly mental dutch mini advert.

Quote:
Where are all the Dolomite adverts? Were there any?

Never seen a tv advert for the Dolomite but in recent times two for the FWD 1500 have been shown.

There was that series on bbc2 We Love the 70's they showed one where Captain Peacock from Are You Being Servred was a Leyland salesman trying to sell two elderly ladies a 1500, only to finally see them sail off in a Spitfire whooping and waving their arms about

Then another appears in that old Channel 4 programme Classic Marques (I think that's what its called) anyway its the one with Graham Robson presenting it. Again a 1500 appears in an advert where it is on stage at a soho night club!!! It appears on stage flashing its lights and waving it doors whilst scantily clad women dance about it, whilst men in raincoats in the audience get excited

Maybe not the best way to target an audience but of course this WAS the early 70's!

Shame that there hasn't been a DVD realease of these along with production footage. Standard - Triumph did have its own film unit so there must be miles of footage locked away in Gaydon.

You can watch/listen to this advert here:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdnviN_S ...

Without the need for a Real Player.

Rally Sprint and 1300 Dolomite featured. I've played it loads of times but I cannot hear what the old ladies in the Dolomite 1300 are saying, something like "slow down Ethel ? ? ? ?"

Anyone fill in the missing bit please.

The main road through baglan is a dual carriageway, don't have to suffer as long if your doing 70mph

the SD1...wonderful car but so badly made...
As its Battle of Britain season we could echo the words of Winston...

Never in the field of Britsh Car production has such a wonderful car been made so badly and survived to be so few...
Have you a good word(S) to say about anything.
Just I hated my SD1 and couldn't wait to get shot of it.

I have loads of good words to say about SD1's.
Its just such a shame they weren't built better.
I also love my Sprint, 1850's, spit and Landy in a way.
And my series 3 Sov as well...
Maybe I should start a "best car" thread, lest you all think I'm Mr negative....
