wheel nuts are proper shagged and the original hose clips sadly replaced with jubilee clips when the original type are available, :?:

Not exactly a deal breaker, in the scheme of things.

This car is for sale at a garage not far from me. I have driven past it a few times but I have always been in a hurry with work and not had time to stop and take a look at it. It was originally for sale for about £10,000, and has been on the market for ages now, so I suspect that it has gone stale ...

Ah! Well, I didn't know that they changed them for the last couple of years of production. I've only ever seen them with HS2s.

The 1500 TC had HS2 carbs, the HS4s were fitted to the 1500 Dolomites.

In the late eighties/early nineties it was popular to fit a a Ford P100 master cylinder, which was a slightly bigger bore, to reduce pedal travel. I did this back then and it seemed to reduce travel and give a better feel with the standard Sprint brakes.

I've got a Saab Classic 900 master cylinder ...

I am not sure about this particular component but some Bakelite can contain asbestos.

I've been using this for the last year or so, really good stuff but expensive. I paid £17-18 for a litre. I needed some more as mine has now lost its umph. I found that Toolstation has an offer on £37.48 for 5 litres plus free delivery. Bought some yesterday & delivered today. :D

I normally drop the inner sill lower Glen. I then extend the seatbelt reinforcements and jacking points down and use some folded steel to join the reinforcer panel to the inner sill. This means that I can retain the upper fold on the outer sill.
