Tie rod thread size

Hi
After fitting a steering rack, the ball joint on one side gets hard to screw onto the tie rod, the lock nut goes on no problem and I can see the tie rod thread looks rough. Anyone know the tie rod thread size and what might be used to improve the thread condition

Steering

Does anyone have a picture of the steering joints between the steering rack and the steering column shaft, and can this be fitted the wrong way round, as the nut on one of the bolts hits against the chassis. Regards Terry

Re: Steering column support plate/bush

Hi, I finally got around to removing the support plate and the hole has worn, so I am looking for a replacement. The bush was fitted from inside the car so I don’t know why it came out, and what would you use to seal it back on. Regards Terry

Steering column support plate/bush

Hi all, the bush for the steering column shaft support pops out of the support plate occasionally. I have a polly bush from Chris Wittor fitted, which doesn’t take much effort to push back into the plate, do you think that the hole in the plate could be worn, and if so, where to source a replacement ...
