Happened to me also. Had to raise the gearknob slightly to avoid wires touching gearstick tube, Was also getting a shock as well as a blown fuse.

Hi Graham,
I'm from Scotland
Nice looking car you got there!
Not managed to find many spares locally I'm afraid, although ebay turns stuff up now and again.
Will be down at Selkirk in September, hope to see you there.

I'm getting really good at patches

Re: Newtronic Electronic Ignition Wiring
Thanks for that, but I've already got they wires connected up.
The wires I'm unsure of come from the distributor module and go to the spade terminals on the control box.
I think there may have been some kind of terminal block encasing these wires that I had to remove to get the wire through a ...

Newtronic Electronic Ignition Wiring
Hi All,
In my quest to get MUG running properly I'm trying out the electronic ignition again.
Unfortunately when I removed the electronic eye wires from the control box I didn't mark them  .
So I'm left with this:

Re: MUG 1975 Sprint
After TDCIR I've been busy with MUG.
Spare carbs were aquablasted, throttle spindle bushes drilled and reamed and rebuilt with SU Carb kit. I decided to blast and repaint the air filter housing too.

Hiya,
Sorry Yellow Banana for pipping you at the post for the furthest travelled, 300 miles each way with MUG behaving herself all the way. Not very often I get the chance of 5hrs solid Dolomite driving!!
Made a weekend of it and it was great to meet everyone at the Premier Inn on Saturday.
