about this one?
Like why it's in a scrap yard? What it's condition underneath is? It's been hosed down on a dry day to look shiny which triggers alarm bells. Lots of rust patches visible in the photos of which there are few.

Re: Wind roar round front doors
Ok lets get back to the wind noise which I certainly have, maybe not as bad as others but its there.
I was really interested in everyone thoughts on this forum esp Tinweevil. I also noticed that my door profiles did not match the A post.
What I did to prove this was smear grease on the seal and ...

Re: Wind roar round front doors
That kept popping into my head too  There was a hell of a lot of fabricated bolx on that show, what was it a door 'spontaneously' fell off? But that one trying to fill up a triumph with water, there aren't enough fire pumps in the country :!: Shame about the otherwise decent car but fair ...

Re: Wind roar round front doors
I don't think you'll get anywhere with new rubbers unless yours are especially deformed/flat but I do think you are on the right lines looking at the door gaps. To an extent you are stuck with your car being a late shell, the press tools wore out long before production stopped. If you compare the ...

Sweet baby cheeses, who invited Tolstoy?
Keep it as std. as possible is my advice. Keep it as light as possible. Dual circuit brakes is wise to fit. In std form almost everything is repairable so best to keep it that way. Excotic suspension isn't needed. Keep all as soft and flexible as possible ...

Re: Nothing to do with me,
Hi Ian,
I hope I didn't cause any offense. I love that there's so much Triumph in it, that really does float my boat. The wheels are hard to do as there's so little choice, Stag is a possibility or if money were no object get some 14" Sprint wheels made perhaps.
Did you get it from Lewis?
Julian

Re: Nothing to do with me,
Can't argue with any of that Steve. An RV8 would be a better choice and any soulless, uninteresting, reliable, boring, powerful modern 4 banger that would destroy the 'feel' of the car would be better still :gleam:

Re: Parts quality and OHV engines
It has been a few years but I always found moss, canley and rimmers ohv parts absolutely fine. Bear in mind I'm a sympathetic driver, tending towards drive like a nun at times. Plus I'm handy with spanners, I could not be arsed with the hours in front of a computer and wallet wilting prices for the ...

Re: 3D Printers
The main difference between a 3 and a 5 is the build volume. There are significant differences in the mechanisms, the 5 is far from simply a scaled up 3. If you took a 3 and replaced the extrusions & belts with longer ones (plus other parts) you could end up the 5 build volume but the 5 would be the ...

Re: Affordable Worthwhile Modifications/Improvements
I'm sorry but this is non-sense. A Dolomite is in no way dangerous to drive with standard brakes, at least if you have the front disc setup. When I had my 1500 on the road, the brakes gave me no issues what so ever.
Frankly if you are really that concerned about safety, you shouldn't be driving a ...

Re: 3D Printers
So I've had the printer for a few days and have only just got it to stop stringing. :fuming: After trying print after print, changing the retraction setting, combing, speed etc. I pretty much used up all the filament which came with the printer. So I put on the new reel I bought from Amazon and ...
