Re: First electric Dolomite ?

Seemingly the admin(s) seem to have a problem with us  Yes, when Col Hughes who set that group up lost interest, he handed the admin to a couple of folk who were exceptionally anti TDC, mainly based on the fact they didn’t want to members but wanted all of the benefits and went further to cla...

Re: pre production sprint?

Pre-production, on a ‘N’ plate? By the time that car was registered, nearly half the total production had been made!

Re: Dolly 1300cc clutch

Thanks valve for the reply. I've just got around to doing the job. It was the slave. What a bitch to bleed. Who designed the feed on the bottom and the bleed on the top? It would be so much easier to bleed if they were the other way around. Many thanks T Exactly why I replace cylinder seals in pair...

Could you tell me which of the front parcel shelf brackets you have, please.

Cheers Phil
Both side brackets. I can probably find the U shaped support that braces the centre of the shelf above the transmission tunnel as well.

Re: Automatic oil cooler etc

Optional extra only required on the 1850 if towing, but standard equipment on the Sprint. Apparently the Stag item is close enough similar. If it is I'd suggest a used auto' cooler would be false economy as the aluminium oxidises dreadfully for some reason as soon as they're off the car; I took one ...

Re: Dolly 1300cc clutch

If it is the seal in the master that has gone the fluid will have leaked out the back along the pushrod and if you run your hand up the clutch pedal to where the clevis pin attaches the pushrod to it you'll likely encounter fluid. If you don't find any fluid there it is most likely the slave that's ...

Re: Dolomite Sprint Wanted Please

The Inca sprint sold at Iconic Auctions at Silverstone today for just over £16k plus premiums having had a guide price of £10k. It was in good condition with some provenance but in no way perfect in my opinion; gives a good benchmark of current values, perhaps?

..oh, and I'd not knowingly sell an auto Sprint to someone who was intending to convert it to manual.

Re: Dolomite Sprint Wanted Please

Whilst i have you I’d be interested in your opinion on the 74 sprint on eBay at the moment. I know it’s difficult without seeing the car in person but price wise - is that about right for a full resto project these days? The car is complete and has rebuilt engine in its favour, but it will need som...
