Re: Dolomite spare wheel?

For the 14" MGF spare, here appears to be a good value source, rather than pot luck off ebay:

Excellent thanks for the tipoff. I have ordered one.

Unfortunately my order has been cancelled. They had sold the last one but not ...

Re: Latham F2

I don't know about that - however the fibreglass monocoque would make it very difficult to fit any form of rollcage for more formal motor sports.

Even a towing eye is a bit of a challenge, although it has been done.

Today I noticed that my car has a rear towing eye attached to the ...

Thanks Steve. My car is running on a set of 14 inch Revolution 5 spoke alloys shod with 185/60 tyres. I need 14's to clear the vented disc and 4 pot calipers.
I will keep an eye out for a MG spare.

Re: Latham F2

I hadn't factored in the screen surround being alley. I have never welded aluminium. The chap I was talking to was a Triumph man. The TR cars have steel not alloy windscreen frames.

Re: Latham F2

That looks like a lot of work. I was talking to somebody today at a show who suggested extending the A posts and getting a custom windscreen made.

Did you consider that rather than lifting the whole windscreen frame up? I wonder how difficult and or expensive a custom screen glass would be.

Re: Removable steering wheel

Yep. I fitted one on Lolo and hated it so much I never even drove it. The boss to change the wheel over moves it an inch closer to your chest, then the quick release adds another 2 inches. You almost end up steering from the back seat. Especially with a dished steering wheel.
You can get extra ...

Re: Latham F2

When I bought the car the hood was closed. To drive it home I had to drop the hood. Now I can not close it again. Also the hood is tearing away from the front header rail.

Thinking that the vinyl may have shrunk with age my thoughts turned to possibly having to get a replacement.

I have read on ...

Re: Latham F2

Having driven the car a few times now I have started a poject plan.

It needs a good service so I have bought all the fluids and spark plugs.
I have bought a spare set of keys.
Some of the suspension bushes could do with replacing.
All the rubber fuel lines will be placed. This includes the the ...

Removable steering wheel

Has anybody fitted a detachable steering wheel to a Dolomite steering column?

My Latham F2 is a tight fit and I am looking at making getting in and out easier.

Car currently has a Dolomite steering wheel on the top section of a Dolomite column.

Rolling road recommendations please

I need to take my Latham F2 for a rolling road session to get the twin Webers tuned. Can you recommend someone familiar with both Webers and Dolomite Sprint engine. I live on the Isle of Wight so looking for something within reach of the ports of Southampton, Portsmouth or Lymington, New Forest.

Re: Latham F2

Does anyone have details or photos of the Latham design seats that were fitted to some of these cars.
