If I can get the front and rear quarterlight rubbers remanufactured what would the demand be?

What I'm talking about are the rear QL Rubber part 708692 and 708693

and the fronts part 808956 and 808957. On the fronts, not the rubber strip that seats the glass, as per the photo below the rubber seal that seals the QL frame to the outer frame.

Would be interested in a full set, as all of mine have dried up with cracks in them.

Someone recently paid almost £40 for a NOS front one:

and two losing bidders were happy to offer almost as much.

I'd buy a set if priced at something a bit more reasonable than the £295 a pair I got quoted for as a custom made replacement by Edgeware Motor Rubber and Trim.

What you might find is that there's already a similar extrusion that can be modified for our purpose, this would significantly reduce the cost. I know when screen rubbers were discussed the other year I did investigate a run via Sprintparts in Aus but the price was prohibitive and to be honest the manufacturer was not really interested.

Always happy to support these sorts of ventures if there's demand. I personally don't need any right now but who knows, I may do in the future.

You would easilly sell a run of fifty car sets.

Get 100 done and put the slow sellers in club stock. They won't last a year I reckon.

I'll have 2 car sets at the right price.
