Hi John
The OVO 1850 was mine!! I got the car at Christmas as an early 21st birthday present and drove my first classic rally on the Tour of Cheshire on my 21st birthday, what a way to spend your 21st!!! The Ilkley Jubilee was my second driven rally and my girlfriend navigated, her first time. Great day!!
Thanks for marshalling, you did a great job! I was suprised to see no other Dolly's as there were 3 other dolly's on the Cheshire. Dolly has a lovely history, one lady owner from new before me, 24'500 miles on the clock, beautiful condition. She got to the age of 90 and decided to stop driving in 2004, garaged since then til Christmas when i bought her, now my pride and joy! My dad has a TR3A and was on the rally so buying a triumph was bound to happen! Where about were you marshalling?
Nice one what a find! sounded on song. Did you enjoy it up near the giant golf balls on the moors. we were at a farm place wi loads of foragers and other big machines parked up, it was a test of some sort. Was your dad in a green Tr?
Have you checked out http://www.tonylarge.net theres some pics on there of all the cars.
Im doing the viking classic next at York in May maybe see you there?
John
My Dad was in the white one, yeah there are soem good pics up on his website. The scenery was awesome, lovely driving roads. Unfortunately back at uni now for the summer working so no more rallies for a while Enjoy the Viking classic, never done that one but maybe one for the future!
James
Which uni are you at? Several have motor clubs either in the Uni or local to them, although few will be running much between now and September anyway...
