Anyone fancy a London to Brighton/Southend Run during the summer?

That's a great idea Ken. If it doesn't clash with anything, I would be up for this.. :)

Looking good so far. Just need to think about dates now really.

Remember this isn't an 'official' London to 'The Coast run, so no segregated parking anywhere and it would be up to us to amuse ourselves.

Yes please Ken - great idea. Please avoid my custody weekends though as my children have inherited their mothers hatred of old cars!

I may even be able to dig out a couple of suitably scenic old routes from my Imp Club days....

Ok Martin, I'll let you be the datemeister then. Bung some non custody dates on and we'll pick one at random.

I did several of those back in the day and they were great fun. The paperwork said several times
THIS IS NOT A RACE
and then they sent 800 Minis on the same route. What did they expect. I broke the engine steady off the bulkhead going over one of those painted hump roundabouts at full throttle cos I hadnt managed to outbrake the guy I was trying to get past. About the last twenty miles were absolutely flat out. Course I'm older and wiser now

  Nice one.

I had a Mini once and went to work at Ealing Hopsital. I forgot that they had installed a speed hump and went over it at a fair clip. I nearly knocked myself unconscious on the roof. Bloody hell did it hurt.

Anyway, hopefully we'll hear from Martin and sort a date out. This should be a laugh.

Am also looking into having some L to B Run 2009 windscreen stickers done. Nothing major, but a nice momento.
