Cool. Haven't got any info as yet re: times or locations. I will try an sort somthing asap though.
This'll be quite a low key affair. Nothing special organised, just a nice old run and some fish and chips on the prom maybe
Martin, did you manage to locate any of those old routes? If not, does anyone fancy devising an interesting route, preferably mororway minimal or even none existant?
Dunno about a leaving point, maybe somewhere interesting...... The Ace Cafe at 10.00am perhaps?? Am open to ideas

It'll be some trek for my old Pi. That should test it out after 21 years of storage

Ken,
I have dug out a couple of old route books, and am working on some amendments. I hope to have perhaps a norf London and a sarf London start which join at a pre-determined time (all being well) somewhere in the Sevenoaks, Reigate, Limpsfield corridor just south of the M25. There will also be a couple of other "joining points" later on where Kent and Sussex/East Surrey owners can link in if they don't want to come up to London for the start, or cannot commit the morning, or whatever.
Been a while since I did this - I used to do quite a lot of it. It's good to get the old brain working again.
There will be plenty of refuelling opportunities (for car and occupants), and to make it interesting, and I am negotiating with Bewl Valley to get the cars onto their foreshore for a photo opp about lunchtime, if I can pull it off.
Am speaking to the Brighton authorities too, about getting onto The Drive on arrival; but we will need critical mass for them to agree to this. So tell your mates everybody, because this will be a good day out.

Ok, I have just posted a message on the CT forum (Tolly/Dolly section). Hope they are ok with that
Ok. Re: numbers.
Can people who will be able to make this event please list their names on this thread. You don't have to live in London to take part either
I'd like to print up some certificates too, so if I can have your real name and the reg of your car that would be spiffing. PM me the details though.
Coo, this could be a really cool event and would be nice to have it annually perhaps. Whaddya reckon Andy? Could be a great Club event! Could this go on the Club website homepage when we get more stuff sorted?

You need to make clear that this event is at the risk of the driver and he must have insurance for such an event and it is not a race ar rally, just a group of friends out for a slow drive to the beach yadda yadda, blah, blah etc.

Yeah! Wot Justyn said.
Re: 'Triumph' - London to Brighton Run - Sat 8th August 2009
Are you keeping this Triumph only as a couple of hot rod and other classic mates have expressed an interest
Re: 'Triumph' - London to Brighton Run - Sat 8th August 2009
I'm more than happy to have other cars participate as long as they are willing to park in the naughty corner of the car park.
However, they would be allowed to join in the fun if they agree to put temporary Triumph Dolomite badges on their cars for the day
