The Coventry Area will be at the Birdingbury Festival again this year (http://www.birdingburyfestival.co.uk)
Good weekend, good company.
We have a pass available for one more car if anyone is interested, just let me know. Otherwise if you just want to come along, we'd love to see you on the stand - come and join us for some food and drink.
Birdingbury Country Festival 11th and 12th July
Re: Birdingbury Country Festival 11th and 12th July
Hi Michael,
Did you by any chance try to ring me a few weeks ago (I have a red dolly 1500 that was on the club stand at Stoneleigh)? Someone from the TDC left me a voicemail about having my car on the club stand at a festival in July but they were breaking up and so I couldn't make-out a name or a number or the festival in question, thus I couldn't return the call!
If it was you sorry I didn't get back to you.
Regards
Angie

Re: Birdingbury Country Festival 11th and 12th July
I'm too tired to post full details, but I believe that Nathan will be putting some photo's and things on later.
Another fantastic weekend, despite the slightly inclement weather (AKA P*ssing down at times) on Saturday, 8 cars on the stand over the 2 days, lots of interest in the club, and cars.
Spitfire and Hurricane flypast, driving skills test, cars, trucks, buses, motorbikes, Chef Tony's butties and burgers, tanks, reindeer, and more!
Details to follow!

Re: Birdingbury Country Festival 11th and 12th July
Sorry for the late report....
Wow what a weekend, for the second year the TDC covenrty area took part in the Birdingbury festival with a healthy 8 car line up!!
This year we were situated by the display ring which was great as we didnt have to move far to watch the action...and also we didn't have to get "to" wet either!!
Saturday was a very wet day but it didnt stop the coventry area from making the most of it...dolomite towers up, chairs out, kettle on and we cant forget Chef Tony (Tony wood) manning the food, Sausage, burgers, bacon, egg were all on the menu and tony did a craking job.....Thanks tony, must mention Von who also did a cracking job cutting and buttering the batches/cobs/rolls etc etc....... Thanks Von
A busy sunday was soon upon us and the sun was shining early on while we put our tents away (me and von and two of our friends dave an Sam camped over on the saturday night) the rain came and went and for the 5 time in the weekend i was leathering off the cars before the sun did its usal thing of marking the paint, with everyone on the stand and Chef Tony in position breakfast was cooking with bacon and egg being served up not to long after!!
Not long after breakfast the The Midland Vehicle Preservation Society were having a timed assult course for cars wich involved parking in spaces, picking up clothes, speeding around the display ring, having to pull up in a certain spot, get out the car, dress up in said clothes and have a photo taken, once they had finished they invited other clubs to take part and the TDC were striaght in there with Tom and Dave with Toms sprint and me and Bruce in Bruce's 1300fwd, both completed the course with me and Bruce taken 1st place and Dave and Tom in second......really good fun, perhaps one for the TDCIR??
Sunday afternoon and the sun was out in force and so were the people with the TDC club stand getting alot of attention!!
Over all a great weekend and thanks to Mike & Val for organising it and to Tony for doing all the cooking!!
Photos as always......

Thanks to everyone involved and roll on Next Year!!
