how many of you have one of the above fitted , what info can anyone give me on fitting one and ther benefits.

We use them on both engines, actual these are ST parts.
Over the years the ideers changed and now you see on many engines total different dampers.
A few of the USA made dampers do look very professional, my thought go to the so called fluid damper.
In the case of an serious build Sprint engine I would go for a damper made for the so called sport compact models.
Most of the 4 cil. sold in the US are 2.2 2.4 instead 2.0 but I don't see there any problem.
Of course the damper have to be altered to fit the Sprint crank, but the BMW damper, actually a Froudenberg product is riveted to a sprint flange.
As far I know the froudenberg damper was made for the BMW 525.
On my new engines, I will not use these old and in my opinion far to havy dampers anymore, bu go for the flued damper.

There are also a few solid, O ring and conventional type of dampers on that market.
We use to go to the biggest racing show in the world for the pro's, it is called the PRI show. There we came the first time across these type of dampers.
Only entrance for the professionals, and they come from all over the world, sins a few years it is held in Orlando, it use to be in Indianapolis, you need about 2 days to see it all.
