BMC "Dove Grey" is a very close match. I have painted one like this and it is spot on. Some late cars had black boxes so you take your pick I guess.

Fiat or Alfa Grigio Juniper or Juniper grey is almost spot on.

In my limited understanding, it is also better to have the airbox a lighter colour rather than black isn't it? purely so it reflects rather than absorbs heat. Probably negligible but it all helps.

Any idea where to get either of these colours. Halfrauds don't do them.

Main stealer I guess???????

I think halfrauds make up paint if you give them the code :) (if the code is known).

I got mine mixed up as an aerosol at a body shop supplies shop, see your local Yellow Pages. Cheaper than Halfords and he had loads of colour charts to look at too which was quite cool!

If you get a good monkey at halfrauds making the paint, its surprisingly good.

Shame they then charge you £10.99 for it.

How about a local motor factors?

If it is any help to anyone, the BMC code for Dove Grey is GR26.

Just to add to this thread, I just had a can of "BMC Dove Grey" mixed up by a local car accessory shop in Poole, the modern paint code was BLGR 026 (MIX400A).

I'll post back photos of the airbox before/after so you can see how close it is!
