Ok, we have the application form for a club display. I can help out with some of the organisation, but I could do with some help. I did toy with the idea of putting an overdrive 'box in my car, but trying to gather together the necessary parts as well as organise a club display, together with all the other things I'm involved in club-wise, will probably with pushing things a bit far. If you sort out between yourselves which car(s) will be available and who will definately be available to help out, I can get on with booking the stand and obtaining passes for all the volunteers. I'll need to know this in good time, I really don't want to be running round at the last minute trying to find out who is attending!

Seriously folks...unless someone steps forward to the oche to ORGANIZE this event it will fall apart before it starts.
Someone needs to COMMIT to take the reins to ensure attendees can be relied upon, tasks, cars and tools are at hand/delivered, club display and background, membership details, tea, coffee available, muster the other willing troops, allot tasks, distribute passes etc etc etc.
I can't do it, I'm going to Canada a few days later and have enough on my plate...

The booking form has been sent off and I've also spoken to the organisers to confirm that we would like to put on a display. I'm willing to organise passes for all volunteers as long as they get in touch with me by PM, email or telephone SOON. As mentioned before, I don't want the stress of running round at the very last minute trying to work out who needs passes and who doesn't.
Ideally we need projects that will take more than a couple of hours to complete. It won't be much of a display if the work is completed by lunchtime and we spend the afternoon polishing cars and drinking tea!
With this in mind, I've been contacted by someone who bought a Dolomite 1500SE with the intention of restoring it, but ill-health has forced him to consider selling the car. However, if the car could be made roadworthy, he would love to keep it and become active within the club. The car needs the engine and 'box re-installing and the brakes bleeding (maybe some brake lines fitting too), as well as other minor jobs.
So who would be willing to help out?
Could anyone interested in taking part, or who has ideas for the display, please contact me directly as soon possible please? I only want to hear from members who can definately turn up please.

Right then. It looks like I'll be organising the show this time, so I guess it'd be good to see who we have and what we have.

Drop me a PM if I've missed anybody, or if anybody I've got here can't make it. I'll PM everyone on this list a bit later on tonight.
As for the what, Andy tells me we may well have room for 3 cars this year. That will be tight with that number of people, but if we get a few more it might be a laugh.
WHAT
====
Engine reinstall for new member on 1500SE
Overdrive Box for Andy
Front panel for t16toledo
Exhaust Etc. for Toledo Man
Front Suspension for DavePoth
"various" for Xvivalve (if necessary)
New car for 2FAST4U
Again, drop me a PM if I've missed anything, or if there's anything on here that shouldn't be. Opinions on what we should do would be welcome.
