modded sprints

#16 Post by Mr.Speedy »

Completely rebodied sprint to look more like spitfire 1500. 2 Seats.Big stereo. 4 pot brakes(Princess). Nylon/Stainless bushed suspension lowered and stiffer. Tr7 5 speed box. Matchported head/manifolds. Sports zorst/filters. Richer needles. Luminition. 15" alloys with 45 profile tyres.

( OK so its not actually a Sprint but it's got the Heart!!! )

I'm going to list it on Ebay to get the max cash.

Complete with the axle but without the Stag/Sprint Drive flanges.

Once I get round to fitting the New One.

I'll put a post on the board when I finally get round to it.
Worth a try though I guess Phil. What about the Drive flanges? They up for sale or are you keeping them for sentimental/new axle purposes?

I'm intrigued now. I remember you saying the rears were much harder than the fronts to convert to the stag wheels. what was involved at the front?

Well most of the info is on the above site.

The rear's where trickey being the Stag flange was machined out to suit the Sprint Halfshaft and the Drum's then redrilled to suit.

Front's where trial fitting different size space's to get the Disc,Caliper and keeping all the other brake parts central then a final machining of the correct size spacer's.
