London to Brighton 2011
As you know, Ken and I put this together last year and it was a moderate success.
We have had a brief chat about ressurecting it for 2010, albeit subject to all the usual caveats about time, organisation, not clashing with other events, etc.
I have already begun to revisit aspects of the route, with a view to improving things, especially at the end. It might actually be London to Hove.....
Dates are always a problem, what with holidays, Bromley Pageant and other shows, Southern Dolly Day and TDCIR. If dates for these are firmed it would help Ken and I immensely.
So, nothing firm yet and no date yet, but just an attempt to gauge interest.
Any takers?

Re: London to Brighton 2011
...You've just reminded me I'm riding this for charity in June. Best get training really.
Anyway, I'd be up for this as long as I've got a working Triumph again...

Tempted to have a North London start from Ally Pally this year as the Ace was good, but we hit poopy traffic almost immediately (mind you that was due to a crash).

Re: London to Brighton 2011
Great idea Martin! I very much enjoyed the outing last year...fish and chips at the end on Brighton seafront were good too!
If I am available I will make every effort to attend.

Re: London to Brighton 2011
Any idea of dates? I shall try to get the Kent TR group interested if I may?
Re: London to Brighton 2011
Are we talking this year or 2011?
I will certainly be part of it if I am free on the date decided.

Don't see why not. The last one was a laugh and well attended by all types of Triumphs.
Give me a week or two to get my head back in gear and hopefully I can discuss a bit further.

Re: London to Brighton 2011
As is so often the case, with pressure of time, other events, holidays, custody weekends, etc this failed to materialise in 2010.
I am sure that Ken and I will be ressurecting it in 2011 as I still have my old notes from last year about potential route enhancements. As for when, I might try and go for a date outside the traditional summer glut, either later or earlier as July to September always seems a write off. Ken and I will have a chat about this over the next couple of weeks. I would like to get the AGM out of the way first.
