Hi Marko,

We meet at the Lyneham Inn just off the A38 Plympton turn off (marked Deep Lane) every last Wednesday of the month at 20:00 (sorry, that's 8pm to any of you non militaristic types) Look forward to seeing you at the next one in September.

By all means come along. We don't always bring our Dollies out (would upset the missus if she were to find out!) 8)

Hi All,

Is there room for a dirty sailor who is a Dolly virgin but just popped the cherry with a '76 1300 and a chassis+two huge mounds of '80 Sprint parts? Will hopefully be back at Drake by the end of this month and could do with advice and a shoulder to cry on!!!

is there anyone in south devon who is willing to help do some of the moor manly jobs on my dolly? i've got a knackered back at the age of 32 and can do the tarting the engine stuff but not the wirebrushing and stonechipping the underside etc. i have all the tools needed from when i was fit but now they're just getting dusty. give me a call for a chat please if you think you can help.

Hey!

Are these meets still happening? I'm guessing there may have been one today if they are. Going by the last wednesday of every month, the next one will be the 26th Jan, yeah?

Devon meet ?

#12 Post by Yellow Banana »

Hi Jimmy & Sigane,

Sorry for the lack of response to your questions - been off ill and now manic at work!

Yes - the next South West club meet is on Wed 26 Jan at 20:00 at the Lyneham Inn - just off the A38. Just pop along and we'll certainly welcome you. We should be able to answer most of your queries but if not - to quote a well used club phrase - if we don't then we certainly know a man (or three) who does!!

Marko - at 63, I think my days of scrabbling around the garage floor under a car are on the way out. Just thought - I've a replacement overdrive gearbox to fit at some point in the near future. Not looking forward to doing that on my own.

CU there.

Cool, yeah, i'll try and pop along if i'm free. Anyone gonna be going in their Dolly's? I may have to get their early so i can wait for one to arrive so i'll know who to be looking for

As for mine....i've hit a few snags, one of which is money (or lack of it), and general knowledge (again....lack of). Hopefully what i'm doing to it won't be frowned on too much.....as the car won't be quite as it seems. But it *is* still a Dolomite....which is what counts. It's just.....a hybrid. Ish.

Either way, if i don't get there before anyone else, i'd appreciate if someone could keep an eye out for me! I'll be in a grey Focus Estate with a private plate and FFOC stickers in the window and probably looking slightly lost!
