That is a genuine bargain. AF ratchet sets are so expensive over here usually so I bought some in the US where AF is king. As long as you don't use them for undoing really tight things they should provide years of sterling service. halfords tools are usually very good quality for the money.

Just been, fortunately, I'd reserved online, if you don't, they're still the full 80 quid in store!
Also, spend 50 quid and get a 10 pound voucher free.

You got it, matey :bluewave: But, (with a bit of luck) you'll not have to fetch them from TDCIR....

Tried to reserve 2 sets on-line at once; but, it wouldn't let me :scratchin: ; but, it was quite happy for me to go straight back in after reserving mine, and reserve a second set.
Not that I'm a cynic (much :mrgreen: ); but, I have every expectation that they'll not have 2 in stock, when I get there.... will find out in about an hour. They're open until 8, and I'm going to be stuck at work for at least another hour.

Will update as soon as I get home, Martin.

Just ordered a set, the postage is only £4.99, so it's cheaper for me to have them delivered.
I have a set of Facom ones bought from their rep in the '80s, but their ratchet is very coarse compared to these Halfords ones, which have an amazingly fine, ratchet-free check, very useful when a Facom one won't swing far enough to engage the next tooth.

This is an incredible bargain when you consider that just one combination spanner, without the ratchet, costs more than a seventh of that price, even with the shipping.

Nice! 8)

Hmm, I wonder whether I'll get my usual discount on top of the reduction, maybe that's a bit cheeky? :lol:

I picked my set up on my way home from work;
Got Martin a set at the same time;
Had a set of main bearings waiting for Martin in the garage;
Guess who was sat on my sofa waiting for me when I got home ?....

...I love it when a plan comes together 8)

collect mine tomorrow,

If we put this info out on a few forums, I'd bet they'd be a bit surprised by the sales figures...
