London Breakfast Run
London Breakfast Run
Anyone fancy something similar to that done by the Pistonheads gang earlier this year. A very, very early Sunday morning run through London culminating in a big brekky at the Ace?

Re: London Breakfast Run
Pistonheads did it first Ken.
My main input is, can you make sure there's no armco on the route?
I just hope I have a car by then.

You must stop being so attracted to it Oli. I'll do what I can but no promises. If you bought LD you'd have a car!

I went on the internet earlier, where I found this gratuitously sexist image:Ken R wrote:Or an entertaining combination of both?

Ah, it's so true. It must be.

Re: London Breakfast Run
If...I can sort the distributor and get through the MOT (in theory a formality once new seatbelt fitted, but never count your chickens and all that) then a yes from me...depending on availability, not good until October!
Re: London Breakfast Run
Ok, can folk pm me if they are able and willing to help me piece together:
1. Meeting points.
2. Points of interest to stop at during the run.
3. Linking in with (2)....... a route.
I am thinking Oct/Nov time, so that we can really benefit from a lovely big Ace Cafe fry up.
Mmmmm, smell the bacon!
Cheers

Re: London Breakfast Run
How does a couple of points of interest at each compass point sound? Starting at the South, then West, then heading East (for the sunrise) and then finally North as we hit the Ace?
Re: London Breakfast Run
Well done for getting the ball rolling Ken.
I would certainly like to be involved if the date works for me - I can't do 1st half of October as am away.
I will help with the route. I did the Retro Rides dawn drive and we could follow some elements of that drive.
Going past major landmarks makes it more enjoyable - and surreal too, so we should try and include a good number.
Going across some of the various bridges takes some beating, Tower Bridge, Houses of Parliament, Millenium Wheel, Battersea, all through the screen of the little Triumph - it's a nice feeling!
I think it best to limit numbers to approx ten or under (even that might be ambitous) to ensure everyone can park together and keep in a convoy.
