Really nice to meet you too and I hope the column does you proud.

How do you feel about a trip down west and fitting a wing or 2 for me...:-)

Cheers Jon, I will pop out to you as soon as i get a chance to give you the old ignition from the column, as for the wings i certainly don't mind popping down to give you a hand if you need it someday...

Fitted the steering column with no probs, before fitting i cleaned and re-greased where i could, fitted all new dash bulbs and a few other bits and bobs, the car has been since M.O.T'd and has past! :D Took her for a spin for a bit, engine seemed fine with no issues, temp went up a bit on the way back. I have since ran the engine with the expansion cap off to maybe see if any air would escape while squeezing the hoses, drove it for a long run after and the temp stayed just above half the whole time so it now seems fine. Fitted some aluminium tubing as a cold air feed to the K+N's the other day which should be a bit better than sucking in engine heat most of the time.

Before the mot i re-bled the brake system, took the drums off the rear and gave the drums/shoes a sand to de glaze after some advice from a friend, adjusted the handbrake as it was a bit weak.

Still need to get round to doing a few bits, need to do the full sand and polish, paint the wheels too when i get a chance amongst other things...

Get a brewgas cylinder and take it for exchange at something like mig tig and arc http://www.migtigarc.co.uk/

I know its not in your area but you must have something like that round your way Jon?
