Ryhope Classic Car Show
Re: Ryhope Classic Car Show
First year since the show began that I haven't been there! The yellow Sprint, I'm guessing that it was the one with the small dog on the back seat, owned by the fella from somewhere close to the engine house, he always opens the bonnet and lets people listen to its engine, which is bizarrely quiet apart from a noisy little end on number 3?
The 144 is one that I owned for a while, I had that and an earlier one on the road, but the '69 car was the one I kept as I preferred the Amazon-derived dash and the smaller bumpers. Glad to see it looking as good as it did back in 1999.
(I'll have a look for the yellow Sprint and post one of my pictures of it if found).

I think its the same one yeah, though i just saw it parked up and i didnt notice a dog in it... would have been nice to see/hear it running though!
The place was really packed when we got there at about 12 but it really started bucketing it down around 1 and a lot of people started to leave (i think the football might have had something to do with this as well mind!)

Not something that, ordinarily, means much to me, but that was hardly ordinary.
Note to self: Paint car in black & white stripes for next year's Seaburn, Washington and Ryhope shows then return home via Sunderland City centre, driving around their idea of a ring road at least three times.
