Project Angel

Okay seeing as everyone keep nagging me for a update.
A 1968 Cactus green 1300FWD with red interior bought from Dan (drpaul2009) after he put it on ebay and it received a lot of interest from the banger boys so I bought it to save it and hopefully let it see the road once more
The car has ben named Angel because it has hole(ly) wings

Body, nearside wing needs patching where a wing mirror had been butchered off the car and it needs new drivers side wing but may wait untill after the MOT to fit it, underside and all other panels are fine.

Engine and Electrickry....it now wears an alternator, starts and runs and holds temp well, exhaust was fabricated out of various old parts and an old set of side light units fitted, electics rewired and now working. cooling system partly flushed and it needs an oil change.

Brakes... rears overhauled, fronts in need of calipers unseizing but one of the bolts wont shift and M/C resealing, a job for next week.

I will take some piccys next week by which time hopefully it will have working brakes.

Todays update....
Rewire the sider light/ ind as i had got the wires the wrong way aroundd
The nearside brake caliper is siezed soild and the bolts holding on the caliper are seized and as the disc is cracked I had to remove the whole disc/ caliper/ hub assemble in one hit, easily done with air powered impact guns and three legged pullers
Time allowing tomorrow I will disassemble the caliper etc and start on the o/s/f side brakes.

Pictures will come shortly, I carried on fighting with the front hub/ brakes toady which resulted in the grinder being used to remove the caliper.
